Time Capsule

In the autumn of 2021, the history group decided to create a time capsule to
encapsulate life in Gilmorton during the years 2021 and 2022.
Invitations were sent out to all groups and organisations within the village and
village residents were also encouraged to contribute.

The time capsule had its official launch in April 2022 and ran for the remainder
of the year with the final closure at the history groups event in November 2022.
The final closure was made by children from Gilmorton school with media in
attendance.
The capsule was then taken to Gilmorton Church where it was lodged in the bell
tower until its recommended opening in 2025.
